All Summer Long

Summer, 2021, I became tangled up - against my own will - in an art project which involved working in pairs with L.H.

 

All summer long, we set aside a specific day of the week to talk. 

Our topics jumped around all sorts of places ― favourite books, oldest food item in our fridge, weeping willows and cedar trees etc. etc.

 

Four months of midnight snacks, endless chatter, and at times, silence. 

 

Loosely inspired by the “Letters to the Editor” page in a newspaper, we exchanged a set of questions.  

 

We answered the questions, but in the shoes of our partner.

 

We edited each other’s responses.

 

How much can we assume of a chilly figure behind a screen?
